There is such a thing as a free brunch… For food educators!
Do you engage young people about food?
Do you teach kids cooking skills?
Are you passionate about sharing how food grows, what healthy foods look like, or how our food choices impact the planet?
Are you one of the army of people, passionate about children being more connected to where food comes from?
Well, come and meet like-minded people at a new event at this year’s Alcester Food Festival.
Food is key to a sustainable future that delivers upon economic, cultural, environmental and social well-being. Equipping children with skills and knowledge about the food we eat and where it comes from, how food can be grown in harmony with the environment and how to be a conscious consumer is a vital part of supporting good health for both people and planet.
See displays and hear a range of Fast Food Talks covering local and national perspectives, followed by a chance to meet and chat over food. We invite everyone to come and give a Fast Food Talk – it’s a simple yet speedy 5 min talk about your unique approach to food education that overcomes the multiple barriers to food education. No slides, or prep required, just some insights to share with new colleagues!
