2017 Awards Judging Team Ready and Raring to Go

The Judges for this Year’s Alcester Food Festival Awards are getting their taste buds ready, dusting off their bright green rosettes and poring over the exhibitor list.

We have a great team of local ‘foodie’ judges including William, Earl of Yarmouth and his fiancé, who will be judging Best Street Food, Warwickshire District Councillor, Mark Cargill and his wife, Kathryn who will be judging Best Alcoholic drink (hic!) and the Steward of the Manor, John Hill and his wife, Cynthia who will be judging Best Cheese.

We have added two new categories this year, Best Non-Alcoholic drink, which will be judged by our Mayor, Yvette Morrison and Best Pie, judged by our Treasurer, Ian Whitehead and his wife, who will also judge Best Meat/Fish.

One of our founder Members, Peter Pritchard, will be judging Best Bread and Cake together with our Secretary, Di Williams and Best Dessert/Confectionery will be judged by our Town Clerk, Vanessa Lowe. Last year’s Mayor, Chris Brannigan and his wife Jennifer will judge Best Preserves and Sauces.

And of course our Chairman always has to get a look in so he will be judging the Most Innovative Product.

Good luck to all our Exhibitors!

The awards will be presented at a black tie dinner in February.
